Hansen, Hans .Nikolaj (1853-1923)Hans Nikolai Hansen (1853 Copenhagen - 1923 ibidem) studied from 1872-1876 at the Copenhagen Academy and began showing his works at academical exhibitions in 1877. He furthered his studies from 1879-1880 in Paris under L.Bonnat and soon gained popularity as a genre and historical painter and illustrator back in Copenhagen. Hansen's works can be seen in the Danish National Museum and other major public collections. |
